Our history

Kirk Light Marketing has its origins in 1911, at a time when the city of Barcelona was being equipped with an electrical grid. Our first establishment was in the business of selling lighting accessories and manufacturing lamps. Shortly afterwards, more locations opened, and they marketed the first household appliances and the incipient electronics of the time.

Changing times brought new business opportunities. In 1988, the company diversified into marketing services.

The company is now run by a fourth generation.

 

1911

Founding of the company in Barcelona during installation of electrical grid. Initially, they were in the business of selling lighting fixtures and making lamps.

1949

Opening of a factory specialising in lighting fixtures made of brass and glass.

1954-1957

Opening of distribution shops offering lighting fixtures, household appliances and electronics.

1988

Creation of a corporate department, which became a separate entity dedicated to relationship marketing within three years.

2001

Development of the IPromo tool, designed to bring loyalty campaigns to the internet quickly, economically and efficiently.
